The Art of Listening ~

The sound of leaves quiver when a wind caresses them

And rocks grind under the pressure of feet

Rain musically falls upon a tin roof

And surf can be deafening when it hit’s the reef

Ice snapping on a cold winter’s night can sound like thunder

Morning birds sing and a loon at dusk ponders

There is children’s laughter

And sounds of a lone wolf crying at night

The crackling of a temperate bon-fire

And two cats howling in a fight.

Some people pray to their God…

All I have to do,

Is just step outside my door

And listen to God.
