The Masque

“Upon entering the room

My mask holds no secrets

I have loved you for so long

And there

You wait for me

Your eyes speak only truth

As you hold your hand out to me

And pull me close

You stop me from falling at your feet

Whilst on the floor,  there you lead me

Around and around

Slowly we go around

Fated to the pull of destiny

And oblivious to what surrounds

Words take no heed

To the unspoken force of love

Around and around

We slowly go around

Tempestuously, graciously,

As One.
